Program Format

Twelve hours of programming will be leased to Christian organizations that currently produce programs. There will be teaching programs in various languages such as: Arabic, Amharic, Farsi, French, Hindu,  Swahili, and Tegre.

HBN will use the remaining 8 hours a day to produce programs that are in accordance with the station’s format. Among these programs are:

  • PreachingAnointed messages delivered by prominent pastors, teachers and evangelists.
  • News and Commentaries – Ten minute local and world news broadcasts three times a day with a five minute commentary from anointed preachers from the Christian perspective.
  • World Business ReportWeekly business news and interviews by successful business men around the world who adhere to Christian business principles.
  • Faith TalkingOne hour a day talk show and interviews featuring Christian leaders, gospel artists, and prominent figures. 
  • Health ProgrammingOne hour a day of health related subjects and interviews featuring health professionals talking about major issues such as AIDS and other prevalent diseases. 
  • Distance LearningTwo hours per week of educational programming that provides the basics on how to read and write.
  • City to CityA weekly program that deals with issues in each city and the many unique things the city has to offer.  This program will be designed to bring African cities and the Christian communities together to share each other’s unique culture with one another.  Christian events and historic sites will also be featured in this program.
  • Children’s ProgrammingA Weekly one hour children’s program based on Christian faith.
  • Youth Programming A one hour weekly Christian program targeting young adults.
  • Family Programming A one hour daily program that features family issues such as planned parenting, marriage and child rearing.
  • Into the Night Two hours daily of uninterrupted gospel music featuring the Top 40 in contemporary Christian music.
  • Manna From Heaven A one hour soft worship music program designed to help the believer to start their daily activities by entering into God's throne of God in praise and worship. 
  • HBN MusicOne and one-half hours of music programming scattered throughout the day for our listener’s pleasure featuring gospel artists.  Genres include Adult Contemporary, Pop, Gospel, African Gospel, Country, etc.  This format is designed for general audiences to give exposure to Christian music to listeners who otherwise would not know it exists, or most importantly, have no access to listen to it.
